Entering Japan From The United States
Requirement to enter Japan
Effective April 29, 2023 at 0:00 a.m. (Japan time), the Japanese government‘s border quarantine measures have been revised and it is no longer necessary to present a valid vaccination certificate or certificate of inspection(Covid-19 test result).
Register to Visit Japan Web (VJW)
Visit Japan Web is a web service for smooth arrival procedure at Japan’s airport. You can expedite your quarantine, immigration, and custom declaration procedure by registering through Visit Japan Web.
Visit Japan Web service is currently available for those who entering Japan from Narita, Haneda, Chubu Centrair, Kansai, New Chitose(Hokkaido), Fukuoka and Naha(Okinawa) Airport.
Requirement to enter the United States
As of 12:01am (EDT) on May 12, 2023, non-U.S. citizen, non-U.S. immigrant air passengers will no longer need to show proof of being fully vaccinated to board a flight to the United States. See here for more information.
